Everyone deserves to live in a healthy and safe environment. That environment includes where you live, work, play, and pray. We reject and actively push back against racist rhetoric, actions, policies and institutional oppression that leads to state-sanctioned brutality, gun violence, and harm that again and again assaults communities, particularly communities of color. We are committed to working for justice and equity, and are in solidarity with social, racial, and environmental justice organizations to build community, understanding and honest dialogue to address the root causes of violence, harm and hate.

Thanks for speaking up!

Cleaning supplies 008

Thanks so much for speaking up about the need to hold cleaning companies accountable for the ingredients they use in household cleaners.

In the next 30 days, we’re trying to mobilize 1,000 New Yorkers who care about this issue to contact the Governor to convince him to act before the end of the year. Do you know someone else who will stand with us?

Ask your friends to take action. It’s simple. Just copy and paste the text below in an email and send away!

Did you know that cleaning product companies don’t have to tell us what’s in their products, even though household cleaners commonly contain chemicals linked to cancer, birth defects, allergies, and infertility?

You deserve to know what’s in the household cleaners you use every day – and right now, New York has the unique opportunity to get cleaning product companies to come clean on the ingredients in their products, including the toxic ones.

Soon, the Governor will be considering a proposal that will require cleaning product companies to list the ingredients in their products. If the Governor approves this proposal, New York will set a precedent for companies to follow not just in the state, but all over the country.
