Everyone deserves to live in a healthy and safe environment. That environment includes where you live, work, play, and pray. We reject and actively push back against racist rhetoric, actions, policies and institutional oppression that leads to state-sanctioned brutality, gun violence, and harm that again and again assaults communities, particularly communities of color. We are committed to working for justice and equity, and are in solidarity with social, racial, and environmental justice organizations to build community, understanding and honest dialogue to address the root causes of violence, harm and hate.

What Happens at a Green Cleaning Party?

2017 updated Green Cleaning Party Kit logoA WVE Green Cleaning Party is a fabulously fun and informative house party where you and your friends make non-toxic homemade cleaners. You can adopt your party to fit your style, but here’s a sample program to get you started.

Watch, Read & Learn

Help your guests learn more about chemicals in household cleaning products and impacts to their health. Have some handy WVE fact sheets available.

Mix Your Own Non-Toxic Cleaners

Let the hands-on fun begin. Choose one or two homemade cleaning recipes and mix away! When you’re done, use the labels in the kit to list the date and ingredients.

Encourage Your Guests to Take Action

Currently, companies aren’t required to list ingredients on cleaning product labels, which means that you don’t know what you’re cleaning your home with. Additionally, many of these chemicals have never been evaluated for their impact to human health. Encourage your guests to join WVE in convincing companies to remove toxic ingredients from their products, and in supporting government policies that truly protect us. At your party, you can gather around the computer and take action!
