Toxic chemicals found in tampons, study finds
“We were excited to see that there’s more research coming out now, for the first time, on heavy metals in tampons,” Alexandra Scranton, Director of Science and Research Women’s Voices for the Earth, told WRAL News. “Unfortunately, it raises more questions than it provides answers. But it does tell us that we need better regulation, that there are very serious toxic chemicals present in these products that we use in such an intimate part of our bodies.”
