In 1995 a woman activist walked into a traditional environmental meeting and asked what she could do to help. When she was told “bring tea and cookies,” she walked out and started Women’s Voices for the Earth, a Montana-based non-profit that tackles big environmental issues head-on — dragging corporate giants like Johnson & Johnson to the table, arguing for better chemical laws, and educating women.
