Everyone deserves to live in a healthy and safe environment. That environment includes where you live, work, play, and pray. We reject and actively push back against racist rhetoric, actions, policies and institutional oppression that leads to state-sanctioned brutality, gun violence, and harm that again and again assaults communities, particularly communities of color. We are committed to working for justice and equity, and are in solidarity with social, racial, and environmental justice organizations to build community, understanding and honest dialogue to address the root causes of violence, harm and hate.

When I look around me I see young girls buying lotions, perfumes and makeup. It frustrates me to know that many of these products meant to make women and girls look and feel beautiful are laced with chemicals linked to reproductive harm and cancers. When I think about all the women in my life who have gone through infertility treatments and suffered from cancer its hard not to wonder what’s going on. As a lifetime supporter of WVE, I know they are working hard to make the personal care products I use everyday safer, and train women like me to be spokespeople for a toxic free world. When I have a daughter, I want her to ask me what it used to be like to have to worry about toxic chemicals in personal care products. Because of WVE’s work, I am confident that she will get to ask me that question.
